Beth's Tribute to Melinda
Thank you, Melinda .....
- For putting up with me as a bratty little kid that you often had to take care of and give baths to.
- For teaching me the song, Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon, Shining Mr. Moon.
- For correcting me every time I crossed my eyes so that they wouldn’t freeze that way.
-
For teaching me French phrases when you were learning it in school and these are the only ones I know today.
- Bonjour, comment allez vous
- Très bien, merci.
- mercí beaucoup
- For being my confidant when I was a teenager as I shared my personal angsts and feelings about school, boys and life.
- For always listening to my ramblings. I’m sure I bored you to tears but you always listened.
- For inviting me to go along with you to get a Glamour Shots photo.
- For trusting me to do your makeup on your wedding day
- For tolerating me bringing my baby to your wedding even though he might have caused a disturbance.
- For remembering me on all of the holidays and special days with cards or your originally created poems.
- For the visits to Longwood Gardens.
- For always helping me clean, shop, or do whatever last minute things needed doing before parties or family events and then putting up with all of the craziness that accompanied these times!
- For taking pictures at family gatherings and providing me copies with documented notes on the back.
- For being the navigator on car trips.
- For the visits to Mom Mom’s & Dad Dad’s grave site in Centreville, then going to eat a nice lunch afterwards.
- For the musicals and concerts we attended in Baltimore.
- For the most memorable day at the National Harbor to see the Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer Ice Show with Kathleen and Daniel to include the spontaneous ride on the Ferris Wheel. Kathleen and Daniel witnessed your true personality and fun-loving spirit and this day will forever be their most poignant memory of you.
